The goal of the EAA Young Eagles Program was to give one million young people ages 8-17 a free introductory airplane flight by the 100th anniversary of the Wright brothers' first powered flight in the year 2003.
Since 1992 over 2.3 million Young Eagles have been flown.
These rides are provided through the generosity of over 42,000 volunteer EAA pilots and members of other authorized aviation organizations.
Through the EAA Young Eagles Program, we hope to inspire a new generation to explore the exciting world of aviation.
